Bikeshare in Deleware County

A greenway can be a lot more fun on a bike, whether going out for Exercise, or to get around and run errands. To make these pathways and connectors easy to use for everyone, a Bikeshare system will be a huge benefit.

Our mission

We're on a mission to make it easy and natural to get out and enjoy the roads, trails, and parks Delaware County has to offer. Our goal is to bootstrap a Bike Sharing program, ground-up, and hand it off to the County, or to a long-running Non-Profit.

Our initial pods will focus on 'loop' trips, parks, and more dense downtown 'errand corridors' . From there we will expand to cover Train Stations, campuses, and destinations all across Delaware County.

Our Progress Path

This is our (draft) list of goals to make this thing a reality:

[ ] 5 core volunteers & 50 ‘email list’ members

[ ] Raise $2K to make an Example Pod

[ ] Example Pod at 2+ events a month, and regular ‘pod-sitters’ to run it

[ ] Example Pod ‘Take to Ride’ event once a month / 50+ check-out’s a month

[ ] 10 board members, 100 ‘$2 monthly’, and 1,000 ‘email list’ members

[ ] Community Survey to pick the top 10 Pod locations

[ ] 1 Permanent DIY Pod at TBD, & start fundraiser for commercial pod

[ ] 20 Purpose-built Pods Purchased, Installed.

[ ] Launch the non-Profit / LLC / B-Corp
